Bayeux Tapestry arrives in Britain in high-security night-time operation
The Bayeux Tapestry has arrived in London from France for the first time in nearly 1,000 years, transported in a secret night-time operation involving police escorts and climate-controlled cases. The 11th-century embroidery, on loan from France, will go on display at the British Museum from September 10 until July 2027, a loan seen as symbolic of Franco-British relations post-Brexit.
