What we store
When you join the waitlist we store four things:
- your email address, lower-cased;
- the date and time you joined;
- which version of the sign-up wording you saw;
- that you signed up on this page.
We do not store your name, your IP address or your browser details. This site sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics or advertising trackers. To stop abuse, sign-ups are rate-limited using a one-way hash of your network address, held briefly by Cloudflare’s rate limiter and never written to our database.
The check that you are a person
The sign-up form on the home page runs Cloudflare Turnstile, a bot check. It loads a script and a frame from challenges.cloudflare.com in your browser and sends Cloudflare signals about your browser and connection, which Cloudflare says include your IP address, your user agent and your TLS fingerprint, so it can tell people from bots. Cloudflare uses them to provide the check and, as an independent controller, to improve its bot detection. It does not receive what you type into the form. We receive only a pass or fail from Cloudflare and store nothing from it. See Cloudflare’s Turnstile privacy statement. The check needs JavaScript; without it, email hello@tertius.news.

In a database run on Cloudflare’s infrastructure (Cloudflare D1). Cloudflare also serves this website.
How long
Until Tertius launches plus 12 months, or until you ask us to remove it, whichever comes first.
