NASA shares images after SpaceX rocket slams into Moon
NASA's Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter has captured detailed images of a new crater on the Moon, formed when a SpaceX Falcon 9 upper stage crashed into the lunar surface on August 5. The crater measures about 18 metres wide and less than 13 metres deep, with dark and bright rays revealing freshly exposed material. Experts warn of the risks posed by space debris as lunar exploration intensifies.
