Committee formed after UPTET 2026 results

The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has constituted a five-member committee to examine representations submitted by candidates who are dissatisfied with the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) 2026 results, according to an official notice reported by Times Now and The Times of India.

The commission declared the UPTET 2026 written examination results on August 26, 2026, through Advertisement No. 01/2026. Following the announcement, the commission received numerous representations from candidates through in-person visits to its office, registered post, and email.

The committee will examine all aspects of the representations received and submit its report to the commission at the earliest. Based on the report, the commission will dispose of the candidates' representations, as stated in an English translation of the notice quoted by Times Now.

How candidates can submit grievances

Candidates who wish to submit grievances can do so via the official email address provided by the commission: com. They may also submit representations by visiting the commission office or through registered post, as mentioned in the notice reported by both outlets.

Candidates who appeared for the examinations could check their qualifying status through the official website, in, using their login credentials, as reported by Times Now.

Exam and result statistics

The UPTET 2026 examination was conducted on July 2, 3, and 4 across 955 examination centres in 60 districts of Uttar Pradesh, with over 17 lakh candidates appearing, according to Times Now.

At the primary level (Classes 1 to 5), a total of 7,13,648 candidates appeared, of whom 5,71,435 qualified, recording a pass percentage of 80.07%, as reported by both Times Now and The Times of India.

At the upper-primary level (Classes 6 to 8), 10,57,021 candidates appeared, of whom 7,59,513 passed, with a pass percentage of 71.85%, according to Times Now.

Among working teachers, 1,22,405 appeared for the primary-level test, of whom 93,387 (76.29%) qualified. Similarly, of the 1,46,394 working teachers who appeared for the upper-primary-level test, 1,13,384 (77.45%) passed, as reported by Times Now.
