Fatal Stabbing in Ramsgate
A 52-year-old man has died following an alleged stabbing in Ramsgate, Kent, in the early hours of Sunday morning. Kent Police were called to reports of a man with a knife in the harbour area shortly after 4:45 am. Two men, aged 48 and 52, were taken to a local hospital with injuries consistent with stab wounds, according to police.
Despite the efforts of emergency services, the 52-year-old man died in hospital. The 48-year-old has since been released from hospital.
Arrest and Police Statement
A 21-year-old man was arrested shortly after the incident and remains in police custody. In a statement, Kent Police said: "A 21-year-old local British man was arrested shortly after the incident and was taken into custody where he remains. Officers are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident."

Scene and Investigation
Large parts of Ramsgate harbour area, including Harbour Street and sections of the seafront close to the Royal Victoria Pavilion Wetherspoon pub, remain cordoned off. Forensics officers have been working at the scene, and investigators were seen inside the cordoned-off area.
A taxi, understood to be linked to the incident, crashed onto the top of concrete bollards on the pavement near the seafront and is being examined by police. A forensic officer was seen photographing the vehicle.
Some businesses in Harbour Street, including the Silver Compass Sports Bar, have been unable to open. Kent Police says enquiries are continuing, and additional patrols will be present in Ramsgate today.
