A New Home in Ohio

Travis Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, purchased a lakefront mansion in Bratenahl, Ohio, for $5.35 million on March 2, according to TMZ. The property, located on 3.5 acres along Lake Erie, was bought months before his July 4 wedding to Taylor Swift at Madison Square Garden, the outlet reported.

Real estate agents David Ayers and Nick Zawitz of The Agency Cleveland represented sides of the purchase, TMZ reported. They described the estate as a "remarkable" Bratenahl property that "pairs Gilded Age grandeur with modern luxury." A statement from The Agency Cleveland, shared with Us Weekly, said, "We're thrilled for the new owners and so excited for Cleveland."

The mansion spans more than 21,000 square feet and includes eight bedrooms and 11 bathrooms, according to both TMZ and a report from The Wall Street Journal cited by Us Weekly. The home was originally built in 1895, as reported by The Wall Street Journal. TMZ reported that the home recently underwent a yearlong transformation, with nearly every detail restored or replaced, including original door hardware, walnut and oak carvings, cut glass leaded windows, and multiple fireplaces.

An original ballroom was converted into a game room and home theater, according to both outlets. The lower level includes a billiards room, poker area, bar, temperature-controlled wine cellar and tasting room, fitness center, and sauna, TMZ reported. Outside, a stone terrace leads to a bluestone patio and heated pool overlooking the lake.

The property also includes a gatehouse that was converted into a two-bedroom guest cottage, according to The Wall Street Journal report cited by Us Weekly. The estate was listed for $5.99 million, suggesting Kelce negotiated a lower purchase price.

Wedding and Home Search Timeline

Kelce and Swift, who began dating in the summer of 2023, celebrated their wedding on July 4 at Madison Square Garden, according to both TMZ and Us Weekly. Us Weekly cited a report from The Wall Street Journal published on Tuesday, September 1, stating that Kelce "closed on the house in March," ahead of the July 3 wedding.

The purchase came after Us Weekly reported in August 2025 that the couple were looking for a forever home following their engagement. They were spotted in Ohio at the time, visiting JoJo's Bar in nearby Chagrin Falls. A source told Us Weekly, "They aren't 100 percent sure where they will plant roots, so that's why they have been looking around."

During the engagement, Kelce resided in Leawood, Kansas, near Arrowhead Stadium, while Swift maintained properties across the country but often stayed in Kansas, Us Weekly reported. The couple also adopted a Samoyed named Wendy, according to Forbes as cited by Us Weekly. The dog appeared in a Tommy Hilfiger campaign shared by Vogue, with Kelce saying, "She crushed it and actually really fit into that Tommy aesthetic, too."
