Parul Gulati's Eviction from The Traitors Season 2 Triggers Fan Outcry, Cryptic Posts, and Allegations of Foul Play

The Traitors India Season 2, hosted by Karan Johar, has found itself at the center of controversy following the eviction of contestant Parul Gulati. The drama, unfolding both in the game and online, has seen accusations of information leaks, emotional goodbyes, and a divided fanbase.

Eviction and Cryptic Response

Gulati, a prominent entrepreneur and social media personality, was eliminated from the show on the latest episode. She had been vocal about her suspicion that actress Krystle D'Souza was the traitor. However, before she could successfully convince the others of her theory, she was voted out and was subsequently revealed to be an innocent.

Following her eviction, Gulati took to social media with a message that resonated with her followers: "I'd rather go down fighting for what I believe in than survive by staying silent." The caption was widely seen as a reference to her final stand in the game's 'Circle of Shaq'.

Krystle D'Souza Responds

Krystle D'Souza, whom Gulati had suspected, did not let the cryptic post go unanswered. She responded directly to Gulati's message, writing, "Valid points le aati na Maza aa jata!! Gut feeling became the problem!!" The 'Naagin' actress's comment dismissed Gulati's tactics as being based on unfounded intuition.

Adding a personal touch, D'Souza also praised her former co-contestant, saying, "You are a star, I just can't believe it," suggesting her respect for Gulati's gameplay despite their differing strategies.

The tension was also palpable in the game itself. D'Souza had earlier explained her vote against Gulati, stating that Gulati's argument at the round table did not make sense. She recounted how Gulati had questioned her for not being emotional over a certain event, a line of attack D'Souza deemed illogical.

Fan Allegations and Defending the Faithful

While D'Souza and Gulati have been at the forefront of the debate, the real firestorm has been online. After Gulati's eviction, fans took to the comments to express their outrage and support. Many called the eviction a 'jealous' act, with one fan writing, "They just can't handle a strong smart woman." Others felt Gulati was a 'sabse badiya player' (best player) who was unfairly targeted.

However, the conversation took a more serious turn when Shahneel Gill, the sister of cricketer Shubman Gill and a fellow contestant, alleged that there had been an information leak. She claimed that an innocent contestant's 'shadow' had been paid to feed information from outside, calling the incident akin to 'match fixing'. Krystle D'Souza, while confirming her shock and fury at the development, emphasized it was unfair to the 20 other contestants and to the innocents who were genuinely playing the game.

Parul Gulati has strongly denied the allegations, calling them a 'digital witch-hunt' and protesting her innocence with the emphatic, "I am INNOCENT, AGAIN!" The ongoing feud and the shadow of the cheating scandal are leaving a question mark over the show's integrity, even as it airs new episodes every Thursday on Prime Video.
