September 2026 LEGO lineup: 17 new sets across themes and price points

As the calendar flips to September, LEGO is rolling out 17 new sets across a wide range of themes, from pop-culture icons to holiday essentials. The month's releases include a SpongeBob SquarePants Bikini Bottom build, a Batman Returns Batmobile, and the massive Ministry of Magic – Collectors' Edition, according to 9to5Toys and GamesRadar+.

Most sets are scheduled to arrive on September 1, with one notable exception: the Batman Returns Batmobile, which is set for a separate launch date, as reported by GamesRadar+.

The lineup spans multiple LEGO product lines. For DC fans, there's the Batman Returns Batmobile, while Marvel enthusiasts can pick up the Doctor Doom Bust. The Icons theme includes the SpongeBob SquarePants: Bikini Bottom and the Star Trek: S. Enterprise NCC-1701 Bridge, according to 9to5Toys. LEGO Editions adds an Ayrton Senna Helmet and a Nike Air Force 1 LEGO set, as detailed by 9to5Toys.

GamesRadar+ also highlighted the presence of Captain Kirk, Gremlins, and Doctor Doom sets, describing the lineup as eclectic, with a pineapple house under the sea, a magical model, and one of cinema's most iconic cars — which, the outlet notes, isn't what it seems.

Minifigure collectors will see new releases as well, along with a fresh wave of BrickHeadz figures, including a SpongeBob SquarePants figure and Golden Age Superman and Batman figures, priced at $12.99 and $24.99, respectively, per 9to5Toys.

Harry Potter takes the spotlight with new sets and promotions

September is notably heavy on Harry Potter content, according to 9to5Toys. The centerpiece is The Ministry of Magic – Collectors' Edition, a substantial build that anchors the theme's releases this month.

To accompany the set, LEGO is running several gift-with-purchase (GWP) promotions. Shoppers spending $130 or more on LEGO Harry Potter sets can receive a Ministry Munchies and The Daily Prophet Stands GWP, available until September 6 or while supplies last, as reported by 9to5Toys. Purchasers of The Ministry of Magic – Collectors' Edition will also receive a Ministry of Magic Phone Booth GWP under the same terms.

LEGO Insiders can redeem 1,700 Insider Points for a Harry Potter 25th Anniversary Bauble, and select Harry Potter sets are eligible for double Insider Points, according to 9to5Toys.

Advent calendars arrive early for the holiday season

LEGO's 2026 advent calendar range is also launching in September, giving shoppers a head start on holiday planning. 9to5Toys lists five calendars: City ($34.99), Disney Princess ($44.99), Friends ($34.99), Marvel ($44.99), and Star Wars ($44.99).

GamesRadar+ notes that some of the most popular advent calendars tend to sell out long before December, suggesting early purchase is wise for those hoping to secure one.

Recent LEGO milestones add context

The September release wave follows a busy period for LEGO, which recently unveiled a new Star Wars kit that is the longest set ever made, as well as the first LEGO Super Mario minifigures, according to GamesRadar+.

With 17 sets hitting shelves and a host of themed promotions, September 2026 looks to be a substantial month for LEGO enthusiasts across multiple fandoms.
