Three months after Tess Daly and Vernon Kay announced their separation, the BBC Radio 2 presenter is reportedly planning to move out of the family home. According to reports from both The Daily Star and the Daily Express, Vernon will be relocating to a property around 15 minutes away from the six-bedroom house in Buckinghamshire he shares with Tess, the former Strictly Come Dancing host, and their two daughters, Phoebe, and Amber.
The couple, who married in 2003, share Phoebe, 21, and Amber, 16. The move, which reportedly involves a £3 million property with a pool and extensive grounds, comes just months after they revealed their split in a joint statement in May. That statement described their decision to separate amicably, born out of "a deep sense of care and respect for one another."
A source told The Sun, and the comment was picked up by both outlets, that Vernon has bought a place close to the family home in Buckinghamshire. "It means he can stay close to their girls, which is something important to both him and Tess," the source said. The source added that renovations on the new property are not yet complete, but once finished, Vernon will move out of the family home while Tess is reportedly supporting him with the move.
"They've been navigating the end of their marriage carefully and haven't rushed into anything," the source told The Sun. "It's going to be very strange for them after living together for over two decades, so they're both treating the situation with care and respect."

According to a report by The Daily Star, and not carried by the Daily Express, the former couple have remained on good terms, with Vernon liking and commenting on Instagram posts supporting Tess's swimwear brand, and attending events together with friends.

Both outlets noted this detail, which came as the couple navigated their separation publicly.
