T-SAT to air evening digital lessons for Classes IX, X

MoU signed to expand digital learning

The Telangana School Education Department signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with T-SAT on Saturday to expand digital educational broadcasts, aiming to give government school students access to learning content beyond classroom hours.

The MoU was signed by Director of School Education Dr E Naveen Nicolas and T-SAT CEO Bodhanapalli Venugopal Reddy, as reported by The Times of India and The New Indian Express. Under the agreement, T-SAT will broadcast special digital classes for Classes IX and X during evening hours, with special lessons for Class X students.

Programs for students, parents, and teachers

The broadcasts will include a proposed interaction between Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and parents of students from nearly 28,000 government schools, according to both outlets. Another program, called 'Mana Jilla-Mana Paathashala' (referred to as 'Maa Jilla – Maa Paatasala' in The Times of India), will be conducted by District Educational Officers.

Teaching-Learning Material (TLM) Melas, teacher awareness programs, and capacity-building sessions will also be broadcast on T-SAT, as reported by The New Indian Express. The Times of India additionally noted that Nicolas directed officials of Samagra Shiksha and SCERT to take measures to ensure digital broadcast programs are conducted through T-SAT.

Officials' remarks

Both Dr Nicolas and Reddy said digital learning would play a key role in expanding learning opportunities for government school students and preparing them to compete effectively. They also said the MoU would improve coordination between the School Education Department and T-SAT in producing and broadcasting educational content, as reported by The New Indian Express.

According to The Times of India, both officials said the MoU will bring clarity to program broadcasting and digital-content dissemination between the school education directorate and T-SAT, and emphasized the role of digital learning in strengthening government-school education.

Under the agreement, T-SAT will facilitate round-the-clock digital educational content for government school students, as reported by The Times of India. The New Indian Express noted that the initiative is expected to strengthen the State's digital education ecosystem by extending classroom learning to students, teachers, and parents through television-based educational broadcasts.
