One week left to claim £1m EuroMillions prize
The National Lottery is appealing to players to check their tickets as a £1 million EuroMillions prize from a ticket bought in Hartlepool remains unclaimed. The ticket-holder has until midnight on September 9, 2026, to come forward, according to reports from the Evening Chronicle, Teessidelive, and Manchester Evening News.
The winning ticket was purchased in the Hartlepool Council area for the EuroMillions draw on March 13, 2026, and featured the winning Millionaire Maker code JLZG97793. The draw created 13 lucky Millionaire Maker winners across the UK, and the National Lottery is hoping to reunite the final prize with its rightful winner.
Andy Carter, Senior Winners Advisor at Allwyn, operator of The National Lottery, said: "We're still hopeful we'll find the lucky winner and reunite them with this incredible £1 million prize. We've had players discover winning tickets and come forward at the very last minute, so there's every reason to believe this £1 million prize could still be claimed. We're encouraging everyone who may have played to check their tickets and hope to be celebrating with a new millionaire from Hartlepool soon."
How to claim
Players have 180 days from the day of the draw to claim their prize if they have the winning ticket. The National Lottery is encouraging players to check any tickets they may have tucked away at home, in wallets, bags, pockets, or drawers. The winning ticket-holder could be just one ticket check away from discovering they are now a millionaire.

What happens if the prize is not claimed
Should the prize remain unclaimed after the deadline, the prize money, plus all the interest generated, will support National Lottery-funded projects across the UK.
Other unclaimed prizes
The National Lottery is also appealing for winners of several other unclaimed prizes. A £12,000,000 Lotto jackpot from a draw on June 6, 2026, remains unclaimed, with the winning ticket purchased in Rhondda Cynon Taf, Wales. The winning numbers were 8, 10, 26, 30, 35, 42, and the player has until December 3 to come forward.
A Set For Life prize of £10,000 a month for one year, equalling £120,000 in total, is also unclaimed from a draw on June 11. The ticket was purchased in North Northamptonshire, and the winner matched five balls to win the second-highest prize. A £58,409.30 EuroMillions prize from a draw on June 16, with a deadline of December 13, was won with a ticket purchased in Dorset, with winning numbers 18, 25, 31, 37, 45 and Lucky Stars 4, 9.
Additionally, there are four £1 million Lotto prizes from draws on July 1, 4, 15, and August 5. The first was a ticket purchased in Tameside, Greater Manchester, the second from Cheshire East, and the other two from Newcastle-under-Lyme and Wakefield.
