The State Bank of India (SBI) will close the online application window for Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales), commonly known as Clerk, recruitment today, August 31, 2026. The recruitment drive covers 9,124 vacancies, comprising 7,680 regular posts and 1,444 backlog vacancies, as per the official notification.
The notification was issued on August 11, 2026, and applications have been accepted since the same date. The recruitment is being conducted under Advertisement No. CRPD/CR/2026-27/17. Candidates who meet the eligibility requirements and have not yet submitted their applications must complete the registration process by the end of the prescribed deadline.

The post carries a pay scale of Rs. 24,050 to Rs. 64,480, with a starting basic pay of Rs. 26,730. Candidates applying for the Junior Associate post must be graduates in any discipline. The prescribed age limit is 20 to 28 years as on April 1, 2026, meaning candidates must have been born between April 2, 1998 and April 1, 2006, both dates inclusive. Age relaxation will apply according to SBI rules.
Application Fee and Selection Process
Candidates belonging to SC, ST, PwBD, ESM and DXS categories are exempt from the application fee. The fee for OBC candidates is Rs. 750, payable online. The selection process consists of an online preliminary examination, an online main examination and a Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT). Shortlisted candidates will also undergo document verification and a medical examination.
Exam Dates 2026
The preliminary examination is scheduled for September 27 and October 3, 2026. Candidates who qualify for the next stage will appear for the main examination scheduled for November 27, 2026.
