Helios Mutual Fund crosses Rs 15,000 crore AUM

Helios Mutual Fund, the asset management company backed by Samir Arora, has crossed Rs 15,000 crore in assets under management (AUM), registering a 200% increase from August 2025, according to the fund house. The milestone was reached within three years of the launch of its first equity scheme in November 2023.

The fund house added Rs 5,000 crore to its AUM between April and August 2026, following a period when its AUM had crossed Rs 10,000 crore in April 2026, after rising from Rs 5,000 crore in August 2025. As of August 25, equity-oriented schemes accounted for the bulk of the assets, with an AUM of around Rs 14,356 crore, or more than 95% of the total. Hybrid schemes accounted for approximately Rs 425 crore, while debt-oriented schemes had around Rs 285 crore.

The fund house's AUM stood at Rs 670 crore in November 2023. It crossed Rs 1,000 crore in February 2024, Rs 2,000 crore in June 2024 and Rs 3,000 crore in November 2024. The AUM reached Rs 4,000 crore in April 2025 and Rs 5,000 crore in August 2025.

The latest increase has come amid volatility in equity markets and global uncertainty, including developments in the West Asia, the fund house said.

Growth drivers and distribution network

Helios Mutual Fund said it currently caters to investors across more than 15,000 pin codes through its branch and distribution network. Its distribution network includes more than 18,900 mutual fund distributors, 26 banks and 380 national and regional distribution partners.

Dinshaw Irani, MD & CEO of Helios India, attributed the growth to the confidence investors have placed in the fund's investment philosophy and processes. "We have achieved this growth across varying market conditions by staying committed to our Elimination Investing framework (EI), which focuses on 8 screening factors," he said.

Deviprasad Nair, Chief Business Officer, said, "Our growth journey has been powered by the trust of investors and the strong support of our distribution partners across the country." He added that as investor participation in mutual funds continues to deepen, particularly beyond the largest cities, the focus is on making investment solutions accessible to a wider set of investors across all mediums, stronger distribution and deeper engagement through investor education.

According to the fund house, 86% of its AUM originates from the top five cities, with the next 10 cities contributing 9%, the next 20 cities 3%, and the next 75 cities 2%.

Leadership and team

Helios Mutual Fund had a team of more than 100 people in 2026. The fund house said its founder Samir Arora, MD and CEO Dinshaw Irani and senior members of its investment team have more than three decades of experience each in investing in Indian equities.

Looking ahead, Irani said, "Our priority is not just to grow larger, but to continue building a high-quality asset management segment anchored in research, disciplined investing and strong governance, with the objective of creating long-term wealth for our investors."
