Russian stock market indices opened the main trading session on Tuesday with modest gains, before giving up early momentum and slipping into negative territory, according to data from the Moscow Exchange.
The MOEX and RTS indices each added 12% in the first minutes of trading, reaching 91 and 21 points respectively, as reported by TASS. However, by 10:15 m. Moscow time, both indices had moved into the red, with the MOEX down 02% at 2 points and the RTS down 02% at 68 points.

The yuan-ruble exchange rate showed mixed movement across the two days. On Tuesday, the yuan lost 5 kopecks at the open, trading at 13 rubles, later easing to a 45-kopeck decline. On Friday, the yuan had strengthened by 95 kopecks at the open to 163 rubles.
