In an interview with Pavel Zarubin, a journalist with Vesti, Peskov reiterated Russia's openness to a diplomatic settlement in Ukraine. "Of course, we remain open to peaceful talks, and it would be preferable for us to achieve all our goals through peaceful diplomatic negotiations," he said. He expressed hope that the European Union would not "completely destroy" these prospects and added that Moscow counts on continued efforts from US intermediaries to provide goodwill services.
