A video of Rick Springfield performing shirtless went viral over the weekend, drawing widespread admiration for the 77-year-old rocker's physique. In the clip, Springfield plays guitar and sings on stage, with fans taking to social media to praise his appearance.

Two Locations, One Performance?
Reports of the performance's location differ. Fox News described the video as being from a concert in Las Vegas, while The News International reported the performance took place in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, where Springfield was joined on stage by his wife, Barbara, whom he married in 1984. During that performance, he reportedly asked the audience, "Anybody know how old I am?" before revealing he was turning 77.
The Secret to His Fitness
Springfield has credited his daily workouts and positive outlook.
"I work out every day," he told KIFI in an interview. "I eat well, I love what I do and, as Clint Eastwood said, 'Don't let the old man in.'"
His personal trainer, Larry Willis, highlighted the focus on athletic conditioning. Willis told Men's Health that because Springfield's career demands energy on stage, their workouts emphasize athletic movement and stamina. "We do a lot of plyometrics, we do a lot of stairclimber – which he hates," Willis said. Springfield has been working with Willis for about two-and-a-half years.
A Career Spanning Decades
Springfield first found success in Australia as a member of the band Zoot before moving to the United States. His breakthrough came with the 1981 albumWorking Class Dog, which included "Jessie's Girl," a song that reached No. 1 and earned him a Grammy for best male rock vocal performance. Birthday Habits
In a previous interview with People magazine, Springfield shared his preference for pie over birthday cake. "I don't like birthday cakes," he said. "I like apple pie, so my wife usually makes apple pie and sticks some candles on it. I don't know how you can fit 75 candles on an apple pie, so maybe we'll do the number 75."
