Brent crude oil futures on London's ICE fell below $76 per barrel on Tuesday for the first time since March 2, 2026, according to trading data reported by TASS. The decline extended a recent slide in oil prices, with the benchmark later dropping below $71 per barrel in early July.

In its first report, TASS said Brent futures for August 2026 delivery were down 1.48% at $75.94 per barrel as of 6:01 a.m. Moscow time. Minutes later, at 6:06 a.m. Moscow time, the contract had narrowed its losses to 1.1%, trading at $76.23 per barrel. During the same session, West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures fell 2.07% to $72.33 per barrel.

In a subsequent update, TASS reported that Brent futures had fallen below $74 a barrel, down 4.87% at $73.94. The same report noted WTI futures lost 3.8% to $70.43 per barrel.

A further report from TASS, dated July 2, said Brent crude futures had dipped below $71 per barrel for the first time since February 27, 2026. At 3:04 a.m. Moscow time, Brent was down 0.94% at $70.90 per barrel. By 3:06 a.m. Moscow time, it had recovered slightly to $71.03, down 0.75%.
