Powerball and Other Draw Games
The Pennsylvania Lottery held its scheduled drawings on Monday, Aug. 17, 2026, and the winning numbers were published by the Erie Times-News. For the Powerball drawing, the winning numbers were 08-15-25-49-65, with a Powerball of 22 and a Power Play of 4.
The same outlet also reported results for the state's other daily draw games. In the Pick 2 games, the Day drawing was 9-9 with a Wild of 6, and the Evening drawing was 5-1 with a Wild of 1. For Pick 3, the Day numbers were 7-6-6 (Wild: 6), and the Evening numbers were 1-9-7 (Wild: 1).
Pick 4 results showed Day: 0-1-2-2 (Wild: 6) and Evening: 9-4-1-1 (Wild: 1). Pick 5 Day numbers were 2-3-3-7-9 (Wild: 6), and Pick 5 Evening numbers were 0-7-0-9-8 (Wild: 1).
For the other draw games on Aug. 17, Cash 5 numbers were 04-21-24-28-31, and Treasure Hunt numbers were 01-07-09-12-29. The Match 6 Lotto numbers were 24-28-33-35-39-45. The Powerball Double Play drawing produced numbers 13-34-39-45-56, with a Powerball of 02. The Millionaire for Life numbers were 03-06-33-42-48, with a Bonus of 04.
The Erie Times-News noted that its results page was generated automatically using information from a data provider and a template reviewed by a Pennsylvania editor.
A Separate Report for a Different Date
The Mechanicsburg Patriot News published a list of lottery results that it attributed to Friday, Aug. 21, 2026. That report included separate winning numbers for several games, but the dates and numbers do not match the Aug. 17 results above. For example, the Patriot News report listed Pick 3 Day numbers as 6, 7, 1 (Wild Ball: 3) and Cash 5 as 16, 21, 24, 32, 35, with a next jackpot of $625,000.
The Patriot News article said it used generative AI to pull in lottery results based on information from the Pennsylvania Lottery, and that the content was reviewed and edited by Advance Media staff. The article did not include Powerball numbers, and its stated date of Aug. 21, 2026 differs from the Aug. 17, 2026 date in the Erie Times-News report. Readers are advised to verify results against official Pennsylvania Lottery sources, as the two reports cover different drawing dates.
How to Claim Prizes
The Erie Times-News provided instructions for claiming prizes from the Pennsylvania Lottery. For prizes up to $600, players can claim at any Pennsylvania Lottery retailer or by mail to Pennsylvania Lottery, ATTN: CLAIMS, PO BOX 8671, Harrisburg, PA 17105. Prizes from $600 to $2,500 require a Claim Form and can be claimed at a retailer or by mail to the same address. For prizes over $2,500, players must mail their signed ticket with a Claim Form or claim in person at a Lottery Area Office, which is open from 9 m. to 4 m. The Pennsylvania Lottery Headquarters is currently not open to the public.

The Erie Times-News also listed the regular drawing schedules. Powerball drawings are held at 10:59 m. on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday. Mega Millions drawings take place at 11 m. on Tuesday and Friday. Pick 2, 3, 4, and 5 drawings are held at 1:35 m. and 6:59 m. daily. Millionaire for Life drawings are at 11:15 m. daily. Cash 5 drawings are at 6:59 m. daily, and Treasure Hunt drawings are at 1:35 m. daily. Match 6 Lotto drawings are held at 6:59 m. on Monday and Thursday.
