Emergency Surgery

Rick Harrison, the star of the History Channel's "Pawn Stars," is recovering after undergoing emergency heart bypass surgery. According to a spokesperson for the Harrison family, Harrison went into the hospital for what was expected to be a simpler procedure, but doctors determined he needed a bypass.

"He went in for a simpler procedure, and they found he needed a bypass," the spokesperson told Fox News Digital. The representative added that Harrison is "resting comfortably" and "looking forward to a full recovery."

The family's statement also expressed gratitude for the medical team. "He is grateful for the doctors and staff at the hospital and that his wife and family can be with him during this time," the spokesperson said.

Family Support

Harrison's wife, Agripina "Angie" Polushkin, and his children have been by his side during his recovery, according to reports. The couple married on January 3 at the Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas, in a ceremony officiated by an Elvis Presley impersonator, as reported by Fox News Digital.

Harrison has previously spoken about the importance of his family, particularly Angie, in his life. After several difficult years, including the death of his son Adam in January 2024 at age 39 from an accidental fentanyl overdose and the passing of his mother, Joanne Harrison, in November 2025 at 85, Harrison said Angie was a source of strength.

"She was there for me," he said. "And that's the important part. She was there for me."

He also described their connection, saying, "She's really, really smart. And, you know, I'm kind of an egghead myself."

Career and Show

Harrison, 61, is known as "The Spotter" and has run the family-owned Gold & Silver Pawn Shop on Las Vegas Boulevard, which has been featured on "Pawn Stars" since 2009. The show has made him a fan favorite for his sharp eye for items that are fake or stolen.

His son Corey "Big Hoss" Harrison remains a main cast member who works alongside his father. The show, which debuted on the History Channel in 2009, went on hiatus in 2025 after 23 seasons.
