Moscow Mayor Reports Multiple Waves of Drone Interceptions

Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin has reported that Russian air defense systems have intercepted multiple waves of drones approaching the capital, with the number of downed unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) varying across his statements over recent days.

In the latest reports, Sobyanin said air defenses had destroyed additional drones heading toward Moscow. According to one statement, another five drones were downed, bringing the total to 33 since midnight. In a separate message, he reported the downing of six more drones, raising the total to 28 since midnight.

Earlier, Sobyanin announced that nine more UAVs had been destroyed, with the total reaching 42 since midnight. He also reported that two additional drones were shot down, bringing the total to 21 since the beginning of the day, and that three more drones had been intercepted, for a total of 13 since midnight.
