A Bullet motorcycle belonging to a Mumbai Police constable was stolen in broad daylight from outside the Kalyan tehsildar's office, according to reports from Free Press Journal and Lokmat Times. The incident has raised questions about security arrangements in the area.

The complainant, Ashish Nighot, a resident of Kongaoan, is employed with the Mumbai Police. According to the complaint, Nighot had travelled to Kalyan for work and parked his motorcycle outside the tehsildar's office before proceeding to Mumbai. After completing his work, he returned to the spot and found that the motorcycle was missing. He subsequently approached the Mahatma Phule Police Station and lodged a complaint regarding the theft.

Following the complaint, police examined CCTV footage from cameras installed in and around the area. The footage reportedly captured two suspicious persons connected with the incident. As per the CCTV footage, one suspect was seen riding another motorcycle, while the second suspect was reportedly seen riding away on Nighot's stolen Bullet, as reported by both outlets.

The Mahatma Phule Police have registered a case of theft and launched an investigation, according to both Free Press Journal and Lokmat Times. Police teams are examining CCTV footage and other technical evidence to identify the two suspects and trace the stolen motorcycle. Lokmat Times adds that investigators are scrutinising the recordings closely to gather information about the suspects' movements before and after the incident, and are working to establish the sequence of events and determine whether the two individuals acted together.

Security Concerns

The incident occurred in front of a government office during daytime, raising concerns over the security of parked vehicles in the vicinity, as noted in both reports. The theft has prompted questions about the safety of vehicles parked in the surrounding area.

Investigation Ongoing

Police are continuing efforts to identify the suspects and recover the stolen Bullet. Lokmat Times expects further details as the investigation progresses and the suspects are identified.
