A Mother's Transformation

Laci Gilbert, a mother who weighed 275lb, has revealed she lost approximately 11 stone using the Simple app and home-based wall pilates sessions. She described the app as 'great for a busy person' when sharing her journey with The Mirror, according to reports from the Daily Post and Leicester Mercury.

Gilbert said she was motivated by her family's medical history: 'I just knew at 275lb with a family history of heart disease, diabetes, and other weight-related health issues that it was only a matter of time before those started affecting me.' She added that her daughter was having anxiety attacks at the thought of being without her mother, which 'weighed on me heavily.'

She discovered the app while scrolling through Facebook, as reported by the Express: 'I took a short quiz, I downloaded the app.' After an initial period where 'life happened,' in April 2023 'something clicked, something happened.' She combines the Simple app, fasting, and wall pilates.

The Simple App

The Simple app claims to be a clinically validated weight loss tool that the brand says has assisted users in shedding over 18 million pounds. It states that no restrictive dieting is required, and users complete a quiz to receive a tailored plan. Features include food logging, an intermittent fasting tracker, a NutriScanner, and access to Avo, an AI-powered coach. Users are also encouraged by Blinky, a furry companion who celebrates when they log meals and helps with accountability.

Gilbert praised wall pilates for muscle soreness, definition in arms and legs, and mental load benefits. The app currently offers a discount code REACH for 80% off plans, and a 2-for-1 deal for sharing premium membership.

Reviews and Reception

The Simple app has a Trustpilot rating of 4.3 stars from over 44,000 reviews, considered 'excellent.' Positive reviews include one user saying, 'I have enjoyed my whole experience with Blinky and my coach, it's been an absolute game changer,' and another praising the app for making them feel 'supported like a friend would do but also like an assertive trainer who kicks your butt when you need it.' However, some users were less satisfied: one reviewer said, 'The app is too cumbersome to navigate.'

Individual results using the app may vary. The FitOn app was also mentioned, offering unlimited access to workouts, meditation, and nutrition with free sign-up.
