Man in his 40s critically injured in single-vehicle crash in Co Clare

A man in his 40s is in a critical condition in hospital following a serious single-vehicle crash in Co Clare, according to a report from the Irish Mirror.

The collision occurred on the R352 at Bodyke at approximately 11.40pm on Sunday, August 23. Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene, where the man was the sole occupant of the car. He was taken by ambulance to University Hospital Limerick for treatment of serious injuries and remains in a critical condition.

The scene has been preserved for a technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. The R352 is currently closed, with local diversions in place.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward. They are also asking motorists who were travelling on the R352 at Ballynahinch, Bodyke, between 11pm and midnight on Sunday and who may have camera footage, including dash-cam recordings, to make it available to investigators.
