Liam Gallagher has taken to social media to demand his brother Noel announce Oasis' next tour, telling him fans are "losing our minds" amid growing speculation about 2027 shows.
In a post on X on Monday morning, the 53-year-old frontman wrote: "Ffs RKID announce the tour we're all losing our minds." The message, which referred to Noel by his nickname RKID, was liked by more than 4,500 people within 90 minutes of being posted at 7.36am, according to reports from Cambridge Evening News, Evening Chronicle, Cornwall Live, Essexlive, Teessidelive, Surrey Advertiser, Gloucestershire Live, Kentlive, Plymouth Live and Somerset Live.
Even Oasis rhythm guitarist Paul 'Bonehead' Arthurs replied, asking "what tour?"
Liam then followed up, explaining he's tired of sending fans on a "wild goose chase". He wrote: "There's only so many wild goose chases I can send people on without joining them myself. Then we're all surrounded by the mother goose who's thinking to herself 'this is all your fault' F**K OFF."
Fans have been desperate for news of more performances since the band's Live '25 Tour ended in São Paulo, Brazil, in December. That tour, the first since the brothers' bitter split in 2009, featured 41 concerts in 14 countries, was watched by two million people worldwide and grossed £398 million, according to The Daily Star. More than 14 million people tried to get tickets, leaving around 12 million disappointed.
The band announced it was taking time out afterwards, but fans are growing increasingly impatient for new dates.
Reports have suggested Oasis are planning a 12-night residency at Manchester City's Etihad Stadium next summer, as well as a return to Knebworth Park in Hertfordshire. A source told The Sun: "Oasis' schedule is booked. It's 12 nights at the Etihad over six weeks starting in June. They will then play Knebworth six times over a three-week period in September. Dates could be added but for now that's the master plan."
Promoters behind the band's recent run were granted a licence to host gigs at Knebworth. According to BBC News, North Hertfordshire Council approved the application from SJM Concerts with immediate effect, allowing shows for 125,000 people.
Liam appeared to play along with the Etihad rumours, replying to one fan who asked about reports of a dozen shows: "12 I thought it was 10 fs."
A European tour has also been mooted after the band skipped mainland Europe last year.
But the frontman has ruled out one rumoured booking: a headline slot at Glastonbury 2027. After an Oasis fan account posted that the band were among the favourites to headline the festival, with odds of 4/1, Liam responded with an expletive-laden message: "It's not HAPPENING so all you croc wearing flag waving s c can calm the f** down."
Oasis have headlined Glastonbury twice, in 1995 and 2004. More recently, both brothers have been critical of the festival. Responding to a post on X last year asking if they could headline again, Liam commented "Hope not." He later added: "I like the other stages and the tents, but the main stage is like playing to a load of jamboree teachers." He also described the festival crowd as "a load of divs dressed in Ty die clothes banging clogs and blowing up balloons all with psycho smiles and crusty eyes and red wine mouths."
A year earlier, Noel, 59, criticised Glastonbury for "virtue-signalling". Speaking on a podcast, he said: "It's getting a bit woke now, that place, and a bit kind of preachy and a bit virtue-signalling. I don't like it in music – little f idiots waving flags around and making political statements, and bands taking the stage and saying, 'Hey guys, isn't war terrible, yeah? Let's all boo war. F the Tories man,' and all that. It's like, look – play your f** tunes and get off."
The speculation comes as the band prepare to release a documentary titled 'Don't Look Back in Anger', which charts their reunion. The film, directed by Steven Knight, is due to premiere at the Venice Film Festival and be released on Disney Plus and in cinemas on September 9. It includes the first joint interviews with Noel and Liam in over 20 years, according to metro.co.uk.
Fans have responded to Liam's posts with a mixture of humour and frustration. One wrote: "Don't you have any leverage over RKID? Make him hurry up." Another added: "The wait is killing me." A third commented: "Morning Liam. Yes, GET IT ANNOUNCED."
Neither Noel Gallagher nor Oasis representatives have officially confirmed any new tour dates.
