Sony Pictures Networks India has announced that former India cricket captain Rohit Sharma will make his television debut with the show 'Family Full House with Rohit Sharma'. The title and premiere date were announced on Monday, August 31, according to a press release from the network. The family entertainer is scheduled to premiere on 19 September 2026 on Sony Entertainment Television and Sony LIV.
The announcement was accompanied by a promotional video that played on Rohit's viral "garden" dialogue. In the promo, fans are seen asking Rohit to repeat his famous lines, including "Koi bhi garden mein nahi ghumega" (Nobody will stroll in the garden), which he had shouted during a match while urging his fielders to move faster. A visibly distressed Rohit is seen saying, "Do line kya bol di, itna viral ho gaya. Jab mera pura show aayega to kya hoga" (I spoke just two lines and it went so viral. What will happen when my entire show comes out)? The network had earlier teased his television debut in May with a promo built around the same dialogue.

Rohit Sharma, who led India to the 2024 T20 World Cup title and was part of the 2025 Champions Trophy-winning campaign, has retired from Test and T20 cricket and remains an ODI-only player, as reported by multiple outlets. During India's recent ODI series against England in July, there was speculation ahead of the third ODI at Lord's that the series decider could be his last international match for India.
