Kalshi rolls out $25 bonuses for MLB trading
Kalshi, a regulated prediction-market exchange, is offering new users $25 trading bonuses for Monday's MLB action through two promo codes. The code CBSSPORTS, highlighted by CBS Sports, provides the bonus for trades on the day's slate, which includes the Colorado Rockies visiting the Washington Nationals at 6:45 p.m. ET and the Chicago Cubs visiting the Arizona Diamondbacks at 9:40 p.m. ET.
Meanwhile, WTOP reports that the code WTOP gives eligible new customers a $25 sign-up bonus after they deposit at least $1 and complete $25 in qualifying trades. The offer is available to users at least 18 years old and present in the United States, excluding Michigan and Nevada. Eligibility and offer terms can change, so users should review the current rules during registration.
How the bonus and trading work
According to WTOP, the $25 trading requirement is based on cumulative trading volume. Users can satisfy it with one $25 trade or several smaller trades totaling $25. Step-by-step instructions include downloading Kalshi or visiting its website, creating an account, verifying identity, entering the promo code during registration, depositing at least $1, and completing $25 in qualifying trades.
Kalshi is a regulated prediction-market exchange rather than a traditional sportsbook. Users trade event contracts that settle at $1 if the selected outcome occurs and $0 if it does not. Contract prices range from 1 cent to 99 cents and move as traders buy and sell. A price of 57 cents indicates the market is roughly assigning a 57% chance to that outcome, but contract prices reflect trading activity and should not be treated as a guaranteed forecast. For example, buying 40 contracts at 57 cents would cost $22.80 before fees; if the contracts settle at $1, the total settlement value would be $40.
WTOP notes that prices can change quickly as lineups, probable pitchers, injuries, and market activity develop. Traders should consider starting pitchers, bullpen availability, confirmed lineups, home-field context, market movement, and settlement terms. They should also confirm whether the contract covers the official winner, how postponements are handled, and whether extra innings count.
Monday's MLB matchups
CBS Sports reports that in the Nationals-Rockies game, Washington trades at $0.635 per share on Kalshi to beat Colorado, which trades at $0.365 per share. Colorado has lost five straight and sits at 50-80, the worst record in the National League. Washington is 61-71 and has been better at home than on the road this season. Colorado's injury list includes outfielder Kris Bryant, out with a back issue, along with starting pitcher Jose Quintana, catcher Hunter Goodman, and third baseman Kyle Karros, all on the injured list. Washington is without outfielder James Wood, sidelined by an oblique injury, and starting pitcher Josiah Gray, out with an elbow issue.
In the Cubs-Diamondbacks game, Arizona trades at $0.425 per share to beat Chicago, which trades at $0.565 per share. Chicago is 75-56 and took the finale of its weekend series at Seattle 19-2 after dropping the first two games of that set. Arizona is 69-62. The Diamondbacks have been dealing with a lengthy pitching injury list, including starters Corbin Burnes and Zac Gallen, both out with elbow issues, plus second baseman Ketel Marte, sidelined by a knee injury. Chicago is missing shortstop Dansby Swanson, who is out with an oblique injury.
