Incident at the Signia by Hilton San Jose
Jaime Pressly, the actress known for her role in "My Name Is Earl," was reportedly asked to leave the Signia by Hilton San Jose hotel on Thursday, an incident that occurred days before she was scheduled to appear at the GalaxyCon convention in San Jose, according to multiple reports.
TMZ first reported the incident, describing Pressly as "out of sorts" and saying she created a stir by speaking loudly into her phone while consuming alcohol at the hotel near the convention center. Witnesses cited by Page Six claimed Pressly appeared to be under the influence. She was reportedly heard saying on a phone call, "You are the best husband I have ever divorced and you are good to our kids." Page Six also reported witnesses heard her say "Mommy loves you" during the call.
According to TMZ, hotel guests complained about Pressly's behavior, which included loud phone conversation, profanity, and drinking. Security guards reportedly approached her multiple times. Page Six reported that Pressly initially ignored two guards, continuing a 30-minute phone call and holding up a finger to indicate she was not finished.
Security Interaction and Aftermath
After the phone call, Pressly reportedly approached a woman attending a wedding at the hotel, touched her arm, and complained about the security guards. TMZ reported that security was told Pressly made unwanted physical contact with another guest, believed to be the wedding attendee. Page Six characterized the contact as putting her hands on the guest.
A security guard eventually told Pressly, "We're done," according to both outlets, indicating she should leave the property. After leaving, Pressly reportedly returned to the hotel trying to order another drink but was rebuffed. Page Six added that she then left again, smoked outside for about ten minutes, and returned hand in hand with a valet employee before being escorted away.
Page Six confirmed with the San Jose Police Department that authorities were not called to the scene.
GalaxyCon Cancellation and Hotel Response
Pressly ultimately canceled her scheduled appearance at GalaxyCon. A spokesperson for Signia by Hilton San Jose told Page Six, "Given our privacy obligations, we are unable to provide any information." Page Six also reached out to Pressly's representatives for comment but did not immediately hear back.
Sources familiar with the situation told TMZ that Pressly was acting oddly because she was dealing with family matters.
