Scheduling change

ITV's Monday night schedule sees a change this evening, August 31, as the broadcaster replaces repeats of Fletcher's Family Farm with a new series of Jeremy Clarkson's Millionaire Hot Seat. The quiz show, airing from 30pm to 8pm, features six contestants competing for £1 million, with one player at a time in the Hot Seat answering multiple-choice questions against the clock. A wrong answer eliminates the player, drops the top prize, and the next contestant takes their place.

The move comes as fans of Fletcher's Family Farm have been watching classic episodes of the show each Monday at 30pm. The programme, which first aired in 2023, follows Kelvin and Liz Fletcher and their family of five as they manage their 120-acre Peak District farm. Season four concluded earlier this year, and ITV has announced that the show will return for series five and six following record-breaking viewing figures.

What's next for Fletcher's Family Farm

ITV has not yet confirmed when the new series of Fletcher's Family Farm will air. However, Kelvin and Liz Fletcher have revealed that two additional seasons have been commissioned. In a statement, the couple said: "We're delighted to be returning for series five and six. What started as a simple desire to share our family's journey has grown into something far bigger than we ever imagined."

They expressed gratitude to ITV and Daisybeck Studios, the production company behind the show, and noted that Fletcher Studios will join as a co-production partner. "As we enter this next chapter, we're also proud that Fletcher Studios will be joining Daisybeck as a co-production partner on the series," the statement added.

Latest episode highlights

In the most recent repeat episode, Kelvin and Liz spoke candidly about a devastating loss on the farm: the death of their beloved pet lamb, Aga, from a worm infection. Kelvin explained the toll worms have taken on the flock, saying: "We're taking a belt and braces approach this year, as through the winter, worms were a real problem and proved to be fatal for a couple of our lambs, including our beloved Aga. Aga was an orphan lamb whom we fell in love with, but later lost to a worm infection."

The episode featured a visit from vet Angelica for a health check on the flock. Despite the sombre subject, there were lighter moments, with Liz commenting on rounding up the sheep: "It kind of looks a bit chaotic, but this is the smoothest it's ever happened."

In the meantime, fans can catch up on all series of Fletcher's Family Farm on ITVX.
