The second T20 saw Ireland post 154-8 at Stormont, recovering from a slow start. Harry Tector, marking his 100th T20 international appearance, scored a fine 50. In response, India finished on 153-9, with Tilak Varma contributing 55 and Harshit Rana adding 21 late on.
Ireland's India-born debutant Jai Moondra was again central to the victory, dismissing Sanju Samson lbw off the first ball of India's chase. He also removed Abhishek Sharma in the same over before dismissing Indian captain Shreyas Iyer. Moondra had also struck with his first ball in international cricket in the first match.

Regarding Sooryavanshi, Iyer said: "[Sooryavanshi] is a gun player but we have some tremendous players who have done well for us so we are backing them. He will get his chance."
Sooryavanshi, who plays for the Rajasthan Royals, amassed 776 runs in this season's IPL, including one century and five fifties, making him the leading run-scorer. His next chance for an international debut could come in Wednesday's first T20 against England at Chester-le-Street.
