Indonesia Sees Russian Oil and Gas Advantages, Announces 2026 Partnership

YEKATERINBURG, July 9. Indonesia sees significant technological advantages in Russia's oil and gas sector, according to Indonesian Industry Minister Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita. Speaking at a session within the framework of the 16th Innoprom International Industrial Exhibition, he told attendees, "Oil and gas. We see huge technological advantages of Russia. Indonesia has a large domestic market." The remarks were reported by TASS, the event's general news agency.

Kartasasmita also expressed gratitude for the organization of the Russia-Indonesia Industrial Dialogue Business Forum and the exhibition itself. "I am grateful to Russia. The forum and the exhibition itself are organized at a high level, and we see huge benefits from our participation," he said. He mentioned a meeting with Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Anton Alikhanov, noting they discussed "a wide range of issues," including how to address challenges facing business owners.
