Howard Stern's iconic radio show is coming to streaming. HBO Max will release weekly filmed episodes of "The Howard Stern Show" beginning on Thursday, Sept. 17, with new episodes released on Thursdays.

We couldn't be happier to welcome Howard to HBO Max and to partner with SiriusXM to bring 'The Howard Stern Show' to the platform."
Stern, 72, who has hosted the talk show since 1981, also addressed the new partnership in a statement. "As the 'King of All Media,' I am honored to bring my SiriusXM show to HBO Max, and through HBO Max to worldwide distribution. For years, my SiriusXM show has offered only brief video peeks. HBO convinced me to pull back the curtain and let the world watch; the amazing celebrities and musicians who drop by, our staff antics, and my conversations with [cohost] Robin [Quivers]," he said. "Bringing my latest SiriusXM shows to HBO Max's millions of viewers, every week, is a career highlight, and I'm thrilled to be joining the ranks of such prestigious television."
Stern returns to SiriusXM on Sept. 14 and will have one new show a week, airing Monday, down from two per week. The news comes after Stern struck a new three-year contract with SiriusXM, amid rumors of retirement or show cancellation, which Stern pranked his listeners about by suggesting that Andy Cohen would take over his channel. SiriusXM President and Chief Content Officer Scott Greenstein praised Stern, saying, "There's simply no one like Howard, and the start of his new season is another exciting chapter in an extraordinary run. For more than two decades at SiriusXM, he's continued to evolve, surprise audiences and deliver the kind of conversations and moments that only Howard can. We are proud that Howard chose to continue with SiriusXM through 2028 for his exclusive live show and deep library of classic Howard, and that Howard, HBO Max and SiriusXM have now teamed up to create a compelling new video version of his show."
With the reduction to one show a week, Stern's Howard 101 channel will leave the SiriusXM lineup, with his content airing on his remaining channel, Howard 100. Radio Andy, hosted by Andy Cohen, will move to Howard 101 from Howard 102. On Sept. 14, Howard will unveil a new lineup for his Howard 100 channel, including Wrap Up Wednesday, an expanded version of Howard's Wrap Up Show hosted by Gary Dell'Abate and Jon Hein. The Howard Stern section of the SiriusXM app is expanding to include Howard Stern Decades for access to Stern's content from the 80's, 90's, 00's and 10's.
Stern has been on SiriusXM since 2006. In 2004, he signed his first deal with the subscription-based radio service, which was reportedly worth $500 million. Prior to his SiriusXM era, Stern's show gained recognition on New York City's WXRK from 1986 to 2005. His provocative content and crude humor made him a frequent target of the Federal Communications Commission. Stern is the most fined radio host in history, with the FCC issuing $2.5 million worth of fines to radio stations that carried his show between 1990 and 2004. Stern began focusing more on long-form celebrity interviews during his SiriusXM years, with notable guests including President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, Paul McCartney, Lady Gaga, Madonna and Bruce Springsteen.
