GCSE Results Day 2026: Freebies and Discounts at Restaurants Across the UK

Thousands of students across the country will collect their GCSE results on Thursday, August 20, and many restaurant chains are offering freebies and discounts to help them celebrate. From free starters at Bella Italia to unlimited pizza at Pizza Express, there are plenty of ways to enjoy a treat after the big day.

Offers from Major Chains

Bella Italia is offering a free starter and dessert for every person who buys a main meal when one guest shows proof of exam results. The offer is valid for dine-in only and excludes the Large Cheesy Ball Dough Stack and Large Crispy Chicken Fries. It is not available at Centre Parcs locations, London Paddington, or Edinburgh Northbridge, and cannot be combined with any other offer, set menu, voucher, or discount.

Frankie & Benny's is also giving a free starter and dessert with the purchase of any adult main meal. Students need to show their exam results and let their server know when ordering that they would like to claim the promotion. Guests should also remind their server when they are ready to pay.

Nando's is offering a free quarter chicken or any starter when students show their grades, a student ID, and spend £7 or more at the till on Thursday, August 20.

Itsu will give a free tray of steamed chicken or vegetable gyoza, served with dipping sauce, to students who show results dated for 2026.

Wingstop is providing 15% off the bill when students show their GCSE results.

Ask Italian has a unique twist: a free main meal if students bring a parent who can answer an exam question. As a reward, the parent also receives a free glass of fizz.

Bill's is offering a free dessert from 11:30am on results day when customers buy a main meal and bring their physical results.

Pizza Express is offering unlimited pizza and dough balls for 90 minutes for £12.50.

Las Iguanas requires students to sign up on their website for a unique code and take it with them to get a free starter and dessert with any main. The offer is valid for tables up to six people, showing exam results, and excludes certain items like Loaded Nachos for Two, Three Way Wings, Taco Sharing Board, and Ten Churros. It cannot be combined with any other offer.

Byron Burger is offering buy one get one free on four burgers: Double Smash, Chicken Ranch, Signature Smokey, and V-Rex.

Rosa's Thai is giving a free pad Thai when students sign up for a voucher and buy a bubble tea for £6.

Côte Brasserie offers a free dessert with a main dish and results, or a free Steak Frites or Vegan Burger for those with a French GCSE result. The offer is limited to one per guest.

Ambala is offering a free 500g mixed Mithai Box with a £20+ spend and proof of results, valid from August 20-23, in-store only. There is also a three-for-two deal on savoury items.

Slim Chickens gives three chicken tenders to students who show a unique code and their GCSE results.

Tips for Redeeming Offers

Most restaurants require proof of results, so it is advisable to bring the official results slip. Some offers require minimum spends or have specific conditions, so check the details before visiting. Students are encouraged to celebrate their achievements, but also to remember that results day can be a mixed experience for some, and these offers can be a nice way to cheer up friends who may not have got the grades they hoped for.

As students across the UK collect their results from 8am on Thursday, these deals provide a welcome opportunity to enjoy a meal out with family and friends.
