Gamescom 2026 Opening Night Live kicks off Tuesday with eight games already confirmed

VICE notes that most of these titles are expected to receive a new trailer or gameplay footage during the event, though it does not specify what will be shown for each.

Screen Rant, meanwhile, provides a longer list of every confirmed game for ONL, which includes those eight plus Silent Hill Townfall, Exodus, Ontos, Showa American Story, Valor Mortis, Pony Island 2: Panda Circus, Path of Exile 2, Monster Hunter Outlanders, Cinder City, AION 2, and Project Bonfire. The two lists do not fully overlap, and the discrepancy may stem from announcements made after the initial reveal.

Opening Night Live will be streamed live on both YouTube and Twitch, according to Screen Rant and metro.co.uk. VICE adds that the stream can also be watched through the official Gamescom YouTube channel. The show typically lasts around two hours, with a 30-minute pre-show, Screen Rant reports.

Start times vary by region. VICE provides the following: 11 AM PT / 2 PM ET on August 25 in North America, 7 PM BST in the UK, 8 PM CEST in Central Europe, and 3 AM JST on August 26 in Japan. Gamescom 2026 will be fully open from Wednesday 26 August to Sunday 30 August, according to metro.co.uk. The event will feature stands from Nintendo, Microsoft, EA, Square Enix, Sega, Bandai Namco, and Capcom, but Rockstar Games and Sony will not be present, as metro.co.uk reports.
