Netflix India's anthology seriesLust Stories is set to return for a third chapter, with the premiere locked for September 18, as reported by Bollywood Hungama. The upcoming season, directed by Vikramaditya Motwane, Kiran Rao, Shakun Batra, and Vishal Bhardwaj, will once again feature a collection of short films exploring themes of lust, love, relationships, and repressed desire.

The new season brings together a cast that includes Radhika Apte, Konkona Sen Sharma, Vijay Varma, and Abhishek Banerjee in Motwane's segment, while Ali Fazal and Radhika Madan star in Batra's film. Vishal Bhardwaj's story is headlined by real-life couple Siddharth and Aditi Rao Hydari, and Kiran Rao's segment features Gurfateh Pirzada and newcomer Sana Thampi in lead roles, as detailed in coverage from Bollywood Hungama and NewsBytes.

The trailer for the new season is expected to be released in the first week of September, according to both outlets.

Lust Stories, which has been nominated for an International Emmy, has been praised for its bold exploration of female sexuality through diverse narratives. The upcoming season marks a milestone for Netflix India, becoming the platform's first anthology series to have three seasons, as noted by NewsBytes.

In a statement made while announcing the project in February, the makers said, "Each film approaches human connection from a distinct point of view, reflecting how desire and relationships are shaped by context, silence, and vulnerability. Together, these stories expand the conversation around love and longing, offering audiences an honest and contemporary lens on what it means to connect."

The anthology format, which gained popularity with its first two seasons, continues to offer varied perspectives on intimacy and human connection. The four new short films are described as "bite-sized yet emotionally resonant," promising fresh takes on longing and relationships in all their complexity.
