Escorts Kubota reported a 19.1% year-on-year increase in tractor sales for August 2026, with total volumes reaching 10,072 units compared to 8,456 units in the same month last year, according to an exchange filing. The company disclosed the figures on September 1, 2026, in compliance with SEBI regulations.

Domestic tractor sales rose 20.5% to 9,523 units from 7,902 units in August 2025. Exports declined marginally by 0.9% to 549 units from 554 units. Over the five-month period ending August, total tractor sales stood at 55,665 units, up 20.5% from 46,191 units in the corresponding period of FY26. Domestic sales grew 22.6% to 53,174 units, while exports fell 11.6% to 2,491 units.

The company attributed the steady performance to improving monsoon conditions, healthy Kharif sowing progress, and stable rural sentiment. Management noted that expectations of better farm incomes continued to support demand, although growth moderated compared to earlier months. Looking ahead, the company expects Kharif crop outcomes, reservoir levels, and the deferred festive season to support demand, but cautioned that a higher base effect and rising cost pressures could moderate industry growth.

In the construction equipment segment, sales rose 16.0% to 435 machines in August 2026 from 375 machines a year earlier. For the five-month period ending August, construction equipment sales totaled 2,313 units, a 29.4% increase from 1,788 units in FY26.

Shares of Escorts Kubota rallied nearly 3% on Tuesday to a high of Rs 3,105 on the NSE following the announcement.
