Squad announcement

England have announced a 15-member squad for the third and final Test against Pakistan at Edgbaston, with Joe Root leading the side. The England & Wales Cricket Board confirmed the squad on Wednesday, leaving out fast bowler Brydon Carse.

Carse, 31, missed the second Test after being arrested following an incident outside a Derby nightclub. He remains under investigation by Derbyshire Police, as reported by British media. His replacement, 23-year-old left-arm seamer Sonny Baker, retained his place in the squad.

The third Test starts next Wednesday (September 9) at Edgbaston. England enter the match with an unassailable 2-0 series lead after wins at Headingley and Lord's, and they are bidding for a series sweep.
