MD's Statement on Branches and Digital Banking
Speaking after inaugurating the new Gachibowli branch in Hyderabad, Managing Director and CEO Ramesh Babu emphasised the continued relevance of physical branches even as digital banking transforms everyday transactions.
"We continue to expand our branch network in markets where we see good business potential and an opportunity to deepen our relationship with customers. While digital banking has made everyday transactions much easier, branches continue to play an important role, particularly for our MSME, retail and agricultural customers," Babu said, as quoted by The Hindu Business Line.
The new branches were opened both in person and virtually. Babu inaugurated the Gachibowli branch personally, while the others were opened via video conference, according to reports.
"The new branches will help us get closer to customers and offer them the convenience of both personalised service and digital banking," he added.
Strategy and Financial Performance
The expansion is part of KVB's strategy to deepen its presence across metropolitan, urban, semi-urban and rural markets, the bank said in a release, as reported by The Hindu. The new branches are designed to cater to retail customers as well as MSMEs and agricultural businesses, complementing the bank's growing digital banking network.
Alongside the physical expansion, KVB said it continues to strengthen its digital banking offerings, with an eye on providing customers access to a wide range of banking services through their mobile phones.
The expansion comes amid continued growth in the bank's business. As of June 30, 2026, KVB's total business stood at ₹2,27,267 crore, comprising deposits of ₹1,22,587 crore and advances of ₹1,04,680 crore, according to The Hindu Business Line. The bank also reported its highest-ever quarterly net profit of ₹756 crore in Q1FY27, the report said.
