Chappelle Announces 'Karmageddon' Tour
Dave Chappelle has announced a new seven-city arena tour for fall 2026, titled "Karmageddon." The run begins Oct. 20 at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville and concludes Nov. 6 at Madison Square Garden in New York City, where Chappelle will headline the opening night of the New York Comedy Festival, according to a community announcement reported by multiple outlets including the Aberdeen News and Rolling Stone.
Tickets are currently on sale, with prices starting at $154 for the Louisville show at KFC Yum! Center on Oct. 24. Presale tickets are live now for Citi cardmembers, while general public ticket sales begin Sept. 17 at noon local time, as reported by several outlets. The tour includes dates in Nashville, Charlotte, Toronto, Louisville, Austin, Houston, and New York City.
The final stop carries extra significance as Chappelle will open the 22nd annual New York Comedy Festival at Madison Square Garden. Caroline Hirsch, founder and owner of the New York Comedy Festival, said in a statement: "Dave is one of the defining comedians of his generation and, without question, one of the greatest stand-up comedians of all time. To have Dave close out his tour by opening our festival is spectacular."
Tech-Free Experience and Ticket Details
Karmageddon will be a tech-free experience, according to a press release cited by Rolling Stone. Attendees will have their devices — phones, smart watches, etc. — secured in Yondr pouches and unlocked after the show's conclusion. Anyone using their phones during the set will be escorted out of the venue, and devices can be unlocked and used in special areas of each venue if needed.
General ticket sales go live Thursday, Sept. 17 at noon local time via Live Nation, while Citi cardholders have access to a presale beginning Sept. 15 at 10 a.m. local time, as detailed by Rolling Stone. Other outlets, including the New York Post, also noted that tickets are available through Ticketmaster and on secondary market sites like StubHub.
Additional Tour Dates and Recent Activity
Other announced dates include Nashville (Oct. 20), Charlotte (Oct. 21), Toronto (Oct. 23), Louisville (Oct. 24), Austin (Oct. 26), and Houston (Oct. 28), according to the New York Post. Chappelle is also slated to take part in Mesa, Arizona's inaugural Fastball Comedy Festival on Oct. 17-18, which will feature Bill Burr, Tom Segura, Rachel Feinstein, and Andrew Santino, the New York Post reported.
Chappelle has had a busy 2026, according to Rolling Stone. He performed in his hometown of Yellow Springs, Ohio, for the sixth annual installment of his Summer Camp outdoor comedy performances, and in August hosted the Diaspora Calling! Festival in London, which featured performances from Ms. Lauryn Hill and Wyclef Jean, though their set was abruptly cut short due to a noise ordinance, which Chappelle criticized. Last week, Chappelle appeared at the "Still Rising After 25 Years" 9/11 charities comedy benefit alongside Jon Stewart, Nikki Glaser, Aziz Ansari, and Bill Burr, the same report noted.
