The event will be part of the 2026-27 Riyadh Season, according to Turki Alalshikh, Chairman of Saudi Arabia's General Entertainment Authority, who also promoted the event on social media.
This will mark WWE's third Premium Live Event in Saudi Arabia in 2026, following the Royal Rumble in January and Night of Champions in June, as noted by The Times of India. The event comes three weeks before Survivor Series WarGames, scheduled for November 28 in Houston, Texas.
The first six editions of Crown Jewel were held in Saudi Arabia, beginning in 2018, but the 2025 edition took place in Perth, Australia, making this year's return to Riyadh notable. WWE has not yet finalized the full match card for the event.

A trailer accompanying the announcement confirmed that both the Men's and Women's Crown Jewel Championships will be contested again in 2026, according to Sports Illustrated. The championships were first established in 2024, with then WWE Champion Cody Rhodes winning the inaugural men's title by defeating former World Heavyweight Champion Gunther. The women's title went to Liv Morgan, who defeated then WWE Women's Champion Nia Jax.
