Stand With Crypto Endorses 32 House Candidates for 2026 Midterms
A pro-crypto advocacy group launched by Coinbase has thrown its support behind dozens of House candidates ahead of the 2026 midterm elections. Stand With Crypto, founded in 2023, announced on Monday that it is endorsing 32 candidates for the U.S. House, targeting races it believes are winnable and where its influence could be decisive.
The organization described its chosen lawmakers as "proven digital asset policy champions," with a focus on competitive districts. Stand With Crypto said it plans to concentrate its resources on these races, where it argues its advocacy is most likely to sway outcomes.
Mason Lynaugh, executive director of Stand With Crypto, said crypto voters are now a "durable" and motivated voting bloc that could "swing" congressional results. He linked the group's efforts to what he called a policy "inflection point" for digital assets in Washington.
The endorsements come as the Senate considers the Digital Asset Market Clarity (CLARITY) Act, a bill that would establish federal rules for digital assets. The House passed the measure in July 2025 by a vote of 294-134. The Senate is expected to face a cloture motion on the bill when it returns from recess on Sept. 15, with only 14 days of session scheduled before the November election.
President Donald Trump has urged the Senate to pass a "fair version" of the legislation. However, public polling has raised questions about potential conflicts of interest involving the president's own crypto investments. A poll conducted by Stand With Crypto found that a majority of Americans believe Trump's crypto holdings are not "appropriate."
Stand With Crypto, which says it has over 3 million registered advocates, claimed that more than 270 "pro-crypto" candidates were sent to Congress in the 2025 election cycle. The group's latest endorsements are part of a broader effort to shape digital-asset policy in the next Congress.
The influence of crypto money in elections has been substantial. According to Public Citizen, crypto companies contributed about $189 million to the 2026 election cycle by the end of June. In the 2024 elections, the industry spent $170 million supporting congressional candidates.
As the midterms approach, the intersection of digital-asset policy and electoral politics is becoming increasingly prominent. Stand With Crypto's targeted endorsements signal that crypto advocates are seeking to translate their financial and grassroots strength into legislative wins.
