A New Addition to the Wilson Household
Ciara and Russell Wilson are expecting another child, the couple announced in a joint social media post on Sunday. The 40-year-old singer shared photos and videos on Instagram showing her baby bump, alongside a clothesline bearing white shirts with the names of their four children and a blank baby onesie. The caption read, "One more person to Love 🖐🏽🥺🖤."
This will be Ciara's fifth child and her fourth with Wilson, 37, who retired from the NFL in June after a 14-season career. The couple are already parents to daughters Sienna Princess, 9, and Amora Princess, 2, and son Win Harrison, 6. Ciara also has a 12-year-old son, Future Zahir, from her previous relationship with rapper Future.
The announcement comes less than two months after Wilson publicly expressed his desire for another child. Speaking at Fanatics Fest in July, he told E! News, "Cinco, you got to be on the way soon. I want to have five, Ciara does too."
Ciara had earlier revealed to Us Weekly that Wilson brought up the idea of a fifth child shortly after she gave birth to Amora in December 2023. "He was like, 'So, cinco?' and I'm like, 'Wait a minute now, like slow it down, sir. We just had a baby here. Let's be in this moment here, sir,'" she recalled, adding that she eventually warmed to the idea. "I love being a mom. It's my favorite job of all, and I couldn't stand here and tell you that I don't see that happening one day in our lives to have cinco."
Family Reaction and Career Updates
In a follow-up video posted Monday, the couple gathered their children to share the news. Wilson led a countdown in Spanish — "Uno, dos, tres, cuatro, cinco!" — before announcing, "Mommy's pregnant!" Their eldest son, Future, was visibly shocked, exclaiming, "No way…the speculations were true! I knew it," as his younger siblings screamed with excitement. The couple captioned the video "the best moment of all."
The pregnancy announcement coincides with significant career developments for both Ciara and Wilson. Wilson, who spent 10 seasons with the Seattle Seahawks and won Super Bowl XLVIII, retired after 14 NFL seasons and is set to join CBS Sports' 'The NFL Today' as an analyst. Ciara, meanwhile, released her latest EP, 'YES PACK,' on Aug. 25.
The couple, who married in 2016, celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary in July. Wilson has often spoken about his role as a stepfather to Future, calling it "the greatest blessing." In an interview with E! News, he said, "When you can love somebody that's biologically not yours, but you love them as if they are, that's the greatest blessing. That's the greatest love."
Celebrities including Nicole Scherzinger, Lily Collins, and La La Anthony offered congratulations on the announcement, with Anthony writing, "Making space over at Auntie La's house 😂❤️❤️ Love my family. I'm just over here cheesing so hard ❤️🙏🏽CINCO!!!"
