Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb's home in Fairview, Texas, was burglarized on July 30 while he was attending the team's training camp in Oxnard, California, according to multiple reports citing Fairview Police Department records.

Fairview police were called to Lamb's home on July 31 around 1:20 p.m. after a burglary was reported, according to a release from Police Chief Chris Chandler. Officers met with individuals representing Lamb and found a broken window on the side of the residence that appeared to be the point of entry, as reported by FOX 4 News. Investigators believe one suspect entered and exited through the window, and several high-end personal items were stolen, police said.

The Fort Worth Star-Telegram, citing police records, reported that four luxury handbags valued at over $300,000 were stolen. The Dallas Morning News noted that the incident report lists the offenses as burglary of a habitation and theft of property valued at $300,000 or more. The burglary occurred between midnight and 3 a.m. on July 30, according to the report, though other outlets, including CBS News, reported the break-in on July 31. The discrepancy in timing has not been reconciled in public records.

A worker at Lamb's property noticed the broken window on July 31 and called 911 after inspecting the home, as detailed by Essentially Sports and Heavy., which cited the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. The investigation remains active, with no suspects identified, according to multiple sources. Fairview police said they are working with area law enforcement agencies and pursuing all leads, as FOX 4 News reported.

Lamb, a five-time Pro Bowl selection, has not publicly commented on the incident, Us Weekly reported. The Cowboys returned to Texas after their preseason game against the Arizona Cardinals on Saturday, which they won 34-13, as noted by Sports Illustrated and Us Weekly.

A Pattern of Athlete Burglaries

The burglary at Lamb's home is part of a broader trend of break-ins targeting professional athletes, several outlets reported. Since late 2024, the FBI has issued notices to sports leagues about burglaries targeting athletes, and in February 2025, seven Chilean nationals were charged in connection with a series of such burglaries, according to CBS News. Three more Chileans were arrested in May on FBI warrants, CBS News reported.

Lamb is the second Cowboys player to have a home burglarized in recent years, with defensive tackle Linval Joseph's home broken into in November 2024, as noted by the New York Post and Essentially Sports.
