Brooklyn Beckham's 'mama's boy' tattoo nearly gone as cover-up ink takes over

Brooklyn Beckham's tattoo tribute to his mother, Victoria, has nearly been completely erased by a cover-up inking, The Sun reports. The 26-year-old, who has had a bitter falling out with his family, used to have the words "mama's boy" clearly written on his left pec. He covered the tattoo, which he had done in 2018 aged 18, with a bouquet of flowers last summer and has steadily been adding to the area, a recent topless snap on Instagram shows. The new ink is believed to be a drawing of his wife's bridal bouquet from their wedding in 2022. He also has the word "mum" tattooed on his shoulder inside a love heart in an old classic sailor style.

Family rift

Brooklyn hasn't spoken to his parents in well over a year, The Sun reports, and has shown no signs he wants to end the family feud despite a number of olive branches held out to him by relatives on social media. Last year, Brooklyn instructed his estranged family to only attempt to contact him via his lawyers and to avoid posting about him on socials, a request they have declined to follow.

Brooklyn made his feelings clear in a six-slide Instagram story, in which he accused his parents of putting "Brand Beckham" above family relationships and causing him anxiety as a child. He also accused his mother of sabotaging his wedding to Nicola Peltz and encouraging his siblings to take swipes at his relationship on social media. The post came amid claims he was being controlled by his wife.

In the post, Brooklyn wrote: "I have been silent for years and made every effort to keep these matters private." He added: "Unfortunately my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed." He continued: "I do not want to reconcile with my family. I'm not being controlled, I'm standing up for myself for the first time in my life." He also recalled the night of his wedding and how his mother allegedly danced in an "inappropriate way," something she has denied. Their A-list wedding singer, Marc Anthony, who is close pals with David and Victoria, also called Victoria the most beautiful woman in the room, which is said to have left Nicola, 31, in tears.

Victoria's perspective

According to The News International, the feud between Victoria Beckham and her eldest son is at its worst stage, and the Spice Girls alum is said to have been dreading the release of a new book. A well-placed source warns that much of Victoria's grief has been exacerbated by the release of "Brand Beckham: The Fame. The Feuds. The Fallout" by Alison Boshoff. The book exposes a big chunk of the Brooklyn and Peltz feud and lays bare how life may not be as it seems for Brooklyn.

According to Closer Online, the source says Victoria feared that the book release would bring a fresh wave of public scrutiny alongside painful allegations, and that her "biggest dread" is that it will push Brooklyn further into the Peltz camp. The insider also admits she feels "powerless and a profound sense of agony" knowing that an impenetrable wall of PR handlers, lawyers and the Peltz family stands between them.

The same insider says the revelations made in the book have only amplified her fears that Brooklyn might be feeling trapped. "She can't shake the hunch that, despite what's been said in public, he's actually hurting over this fallout – and that's incredibly hard for her to bear as a mother," the source said. The insider added: "Victoria misses him desperately every single day and is completely heartbroken. She still clings to the hope that Brooklyn will come to his senses and realise how much he's loved and missed by his family."
