MACzine Reveals New Cover Star
Jayden James, the 19-year-old son of Britney Spears and Kevin Federline, is the latest face of MAC Cosmetics' relaunched digital publication MACzine. The cover, revealed Tuesday (Aug. 25), features James holding the brand's Fix+ Setting Spray as he looks directly into the camera. The cover poses a cheeky question: "Who the f— is Jayden James?"
MAC Cosmetics' Instagram caption on Tuesday read: "So, who the f* is @jaydenjames? A) Model B) Musician C) MAC boy D) All of the above." The answer, at least for now, is model, musician and emerging creative.
In his cover shot, James is depicted with a dewy complexion, chiseled jawline, and wet, tousled hair.
Skincare and Beauty Insights
In his interview, James opened up about his approach to skincare, giving most of the credit to his girlfriend, Gabrielle. "Hydration always, but my girlfriend does my whole routine for me, so she's really the expert," he said. Gabrielle quipped about him being "difficult" when it comes to keeping up with his skincare.
James described his routine, saying he keeps his skin clear with face wash, a moisturizer and a facial spray. He also praised Fix+ positively, mentioning its scent and use for dry skin or after workouts. "The first time I used Fix+, the first thing I noticed was the scent, it actually smells really good," he said. "I would put Fix+ on if my skin was dry, after washing my face, or after a crazy workout and I need to cool off."
A Fashion Debut and Music Ambitions
The cover comes after James and his older brother, Sean Preston, 20, made their runway debuts during Paris Men's Fashion Week in June. The brothers walked in Vetements' Spring/Summer 2027 menswear show, marking their first major runway appearance.
Reflecting on the experience, James told Vogue he was "definitely interested" in more modeling but acknowledged he wanted to sharpen his skills. "I could master my walk better — I was definitely stiff because I was nervous," he said. "But Preston and I are trying to do music and other things."
Sean Preston once described music as his "foundation," and James told MACzine he is continuing to work on his own music, planning to share it publicly "when he's ready."
