Brian Austin Green, known for his role in "Beverly Hills, 90210," discussed how aging has affected his sex drive during a recent episode of the iHeartRadio podcast "I Do, Part 2," which aired Saturday, August 29. Responding to a listener's email question, the actor confirmed that his libido has declined as he has gotten older.

A Natural Chemical Change

"Sure, absolutely, of course," Green said, addressing a question about whether men notice a lowering sex drive with age. He attributed the change to a natural process: "That is a chemical thing. That is testosterone. That is what men, as they age, start naturally losing."

While he acknowledged the possibility of supplements to "go the opposite direction," Green offered his own candid assessment: "To me, honestly, absolutely. Sex drive lowers. There's no way to avoid that. I didn't ask for it."

Bob Guiney, 55, who co-hosts the podcast, said he could relate to the changes their peers face. "When you're 16, 17, 18, 25, whatever, it's like, all you think about is sex 24-7. How am I going to have it? Where am I going to find it?" Guiney said, adding, "As you get older, you got so many other things going on in your life and so many other responsibilities and so many other things."

Guiney, who has been married to Jessica Canyon since 2016, spoke about the effort required to stay attentive as a partner. "I'm 55. I am married to someone younger, and part of me is making sure that I am there for her in the ways that she needs me to be as well," he explained. "You can't just sit on the couch all the time and expect to be the guy that's ready to go."

From Physical Act to Connection

Green said that with age, sex takes on a different meaning. "It's not just the physical act the same way," he explained. "It's the connection."

This is not the first time Green has discussed his sex life on the podcast. In a July episode, he stated that intimacy had "absolutely" improved for him as he has aged. "I am way less concerned with how I feel in it and my own insecurities, and I'm way more concerned about how she feels and that I'm doing things that she truly likes," he said. "And I'm also not doing things she doesn't like."

Relationships and Changing Perspectives

Green has been engaged to former "Dancing With the Stars" pro Sharna Burgess, 41, since July 2023. The couple shares a son, Zane Walker, according to Green's publicist.

Green was previously married to Megan Fox, 40, from 2010 to 2021. They share three children. On a past episode of the podcast, Page Six reported that Green reflected on his marriage to Fox, which he say was led by physical attraction. "My ex and I were together for almost 15 years. We were married for almost 10 years. I led with physical attraction," he shared, adding that he gravitated toward being "physically attracted to somebody and then sort of build a relationship around that." After their engagement, he said he wanted to change his approach to dating as a divorced dad, emphasizing the importance of a "genuine connection."
