Court Order Restricts Defamatory Content

A Bengaluru court has restrained the publication and broadcast of false and defamatory news against the upcoming film 'Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups', starring Yash. The order was issued by the 36th CCH Court in Bengaluru on August 25, a day ahead of the film's worldwide release. The court's action followed a petition by KVN Productions, the film's production banner, which sought protection against what it described as false and damaging content about the film. After hearing the petition, the court ordered the restraint, as reported by ANI.

The film, directed by Geetu Mohandas, is set to hit theatres on August 26. According to ANI, the trailer was released earlier this month. The film follows a larger-than-life gangster story and explores themes of love, power, betrayal, and redemption.

Makers Appeal Against Spoilers

Apart from the legal protection, the film's team has also reached out to audiences directly. Actor Yash shared a statement from the makers on social media, thanking fans for their support and the strong advance bookings, as reported by India Today. The statement, titled "A Note from Team Toxic", was also shared by KVN Productions, according to The Times of India.

In the note, the makers wrote: "Toxic: A A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups is not just a film for us, it's years of heart poured into a world it's not the world we built frame by frame, scene by scene, choice by choice." They also expressed gratitude for the advance response: "The love you've already shown this film, the excitement, the thunderous advance we've seen coming in, means more to us than words can carry. Thank you for your support throughout our journey."

The makers specifically appealed to audiences: "Don't record scenes from the movie in theatres and post them on social media, don't give away story beats and spoilers and ruin it for others. Let the next person walk into the world of Toxic exactly the way you did."

The Film and Its Returns

Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the film features Yash alongside Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria, and Rukmini Vasanth. It was shot simultaneously in Kannada and English, with dubbed versions planned in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and several other languages, according to India Today. The film is co-produced by Venkat K Narayana and Yash under the banners KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, as per India Today.

The release marks Yash's return to the big screen after the massive success of the 'KGF' franchise. According to The Times of India, 'KGF: Chapter 2' earned more than Rs 1,200 crore worldwide. The cast list also includes Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, and Rukmini Vasanth, as reported by The Times of India, while India Today adds Tara Sutaria to the lineup.

With the court order against false news and the makers' appeal to preserve the theatrical experience, the film's release is set to take place amid heightened attention from both audiences and the industry.
