Funding Announcement

Be Clinical, a skincare brand focused on clinically tested formulations for Indian skin, has raised ₹21 crore in a seed funding round. The round was led by Sauce, a venture capital fund, and included participation from V3 Ventures (Verlinvest SA) and a group of angel investors. Among the angel investors were Mokobara founders Sangeet Agrawal and Navin Parwal, Arjun Purkayastha (SVP & Managing Director for Greater China & North Asia at Reckitt), and Shaunak Chirayu Amin.

The company announced the funding on a Monday via a statement, as reported by The Economic Times and The Hindu Business Line.

Company Background

Founded by Hemangi Dhir, Be Clinical was launched in May 2025 after two years of research and development. The brand develops products specifically for Indian skin and conditions, with clinical testing conducted to validate safety and efficacy before products reach consumers. Be Clinical also operates in-house manufacturing, allowing the company to maintain control over product quality and efficacy.

Since its launch, the brand has delivered 1.2 lakh orders and recorded good repeat purchases, indicating growing consumer interest in scientifically backed skincare solutions.

Use of Funds

The company plans to use the fresh capital to strengthen its research and development capabilities, expand its clinical skincare range, scale manufacturing capacity to meet demand, and support expansion into new markets and geographies.

"For me, the ₹21 crore we have raised is less about the capital, and more about the responsibility that comes with that belief. It gives us the ability to invest deeper in R&D, strengthen our manufacturing and clinical capabilities, build a stronger team, and take Be Clinical to more consumers across India," said Hemangi Dhir, Founder of Be Clinical.

Investor Perspectives

Zoeb Ali Khan, Vice President at Sauce, commented on the investment: "We see this evidence-led approach as a genuine differentiator in the category, and feel this market & demographic is untapped."

Arjun Vaidya, Co-founder and Managing Partner at V3 Ventures, noted that V3 invested in Be Clinical nine months ago and has since seen the business grow 5x in sales while remaining profitable. He expressed that V3 is excited to double down on its investment in the brand.

Market Context

The funding comes as the skincare industry sees a shift toward clinically validated, ingredient-focused products. Be Clinical positions itself within this trend, aiming to make science-backed skincare accessible to a wider consumer base in India.
