Ehrmann Family to Increase Stake in Artmarket.com
The founder and CEO of Artmarket.com, Thierry Ehrmann, along with his family, has reaffirmed "complete confidence" in the future of Artprice by Artmarket.com, the company's art market information division. In a statement issued August 23, 2026, the company announced that the Ehrmann family and Groupe Serveur, the majority shareholder, plan to increase their equity stake in Artmarket.com through the acquisition of additional shares. The announcement builds on the company's Q2 2026 press release from August 13, which outlined a transition toward what it terms an "AI-FIRST" strategy.
The planned share purchases are part of a broader effort to support the company's growth, which management attributes to substantial investments in proprietary vertical AI solutions, including "Intuitive Art Market ©" and "Blind Spot ©". The company said the transactions are intended solely to reaffirm confidence and provide support, and it explicitly denied that they are part of a takeover bid or squeeze-out offer. The statement also pushed back against what it called "persistent misinterpretations across certain forums" regarding the nature of the transactions, and it asserted that the Ehrmann family has not failed to disclose any transactions or threshold crossings.
Regulatory Filings and Compliance
According to the announcement, all mandatory regulatory disclosures will be filed with the French Financial Markets Authority (AMF) and published online within legal deadlines. The company noted that share purchases will be executed strictly within authorized trading windows. The ONDE extranet, the AMF's secure platform for official regulatory declarations, lists three filings: No. 2026DD1133787 (published August 17, 2026), No. 2026DD1134265 (published August 20, 2026), and No. 2026DD1134267 (published August 20, 2026).
The announcement also disclosed that Nadège Ehrmann, a board member of Artmarket.com, acquired additional shares. Because the aggregate total exceeded the statutory regulatory threshold, she completed mandatory disclosures with both the issuer and the AMF, in compliance with Article 19 of the EU Market Abuse Regulation (MAR).
Philosophical Treatise on AI
In a related development, Thierry Ehrmann has completed an 1,800-page philosophical and scientific treatise dedicated to Artificial Intelligence, covering the period from 1987 to the present. The company said the central chapters, approximately 450 pages, chronicle the "untold human odyssey" of Artprice. The work provides a scientific account of Artprice's "AI-First" transformation, grounded in a philosophical framework articulated in 2026 under the AI concept of "alignment."
The multilingual work will be distributed globally in a free digital edition and as a paid print edition in bookstores. The English version is scheduled for release in late August 2026 across OpenAI, Gemini, and on Artprice by Artmarket.com, with the French edition following in September 2026. An excerpt from the raw typescript includes text about Artprice preventing amnesia, ethical principles, and the role of AI in memory formation.
