'90 Day Fiancé' Star Jenny Slatten's ALS Fundraiser Surpasses $100,000

A GoFundMe campaign set up to support '90 Day Fiancé' alum Jenny Slatten, who is battling ALS, has raised more than $100,000. According to TMZ, the fundraiser has brought in over $108,000 from more than 2,800 donations. Us Weekly reports the page has received $110,116 towards its $171,700 goal since its launch on May 20, with nearly 3,000 people donating as of publication.

The page was created by Slatten's friend Penny Minincleri, as confirmed by both TMZ and Us Weekly. Minincleri launched the campaign shortly after Slatten publicly revealed her diagnosis with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), according to TMZ.

The Diagnosis and Challenges

Slatten and her husband, Sumit Singh, learned of her diagnosis in December 2025 after she experienced symptoms including difficulty swallowing and changes in her speech, TMZ reported. Slatten said the diagnosis was particularly frightening because her father also died from ALS. Us Weekly noted that an early July update on the GoFundMe page mentioned trouble swallowing and migraines beginning in December 2025.

ALS is a nervous system disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord, according to the Mayo Clinic, as cited by Us Weekly. The illness leads to muscle weakness and other symptoms that worsen over time.

In a recent Instagram video from Sunday, August 30, Singh said the ALS is progressing and it is hard for Slatten to talk now, as reported by both outlets. TMZ added that Singh said Slatten is struggling to speak, with Slatten herself telling him "I can't talk," and that she is experiencing increasing difficulty walking and maintaining her balance.

The Fundraiser's Purpose

The GoFundMe page says the primary purpose is to cover Slatten's growing medical expenses, including mobility equipment such as a walker and wheelchair, in-home nursing or caregiver support, and future hospital and treatment costs. According to the page's description, medication alone for one year will exceed $200,000. The fundraiser also aims to help Slatten's daughters, Christina and Dominique, spend extended time in India with their mom during her health battle, Us Weekly reported.

Slatten, 68, moved to India in 2019 to be with Singh, whom she married in 2021, as seen on '90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way,' according to Us Weekly.

Efforts to Return to the S.

Slatten and Singh have been trying to get her back to the United States for additional medical care, TMZ reported. An update on the GoFundMe page revealed they would move to the S. if Singh can obtain an emergency visa and if Slatten is cleared to fly, Us Weekly reported. Singh's visa application remains unresolved, according to TMZ.

Defense of the Campaign

The GoFundMe has faced skepticism since its launch, prompting Slatten and Singh to publicly defend it, TMZ reported. Singh previously said their friend created it out of a desire to help the couple deal with the financial burden of Slatten's illness, according to TMZ.
