Clarence Woodward, a 41-year-old man held in Department of Correction custody, died early Tuesday morning at the Robert N. Davoren Center on Rikers Island after a medical emergency, according to reports from AM New York and the New York Daily News. A correction officer conducting a facility tour found Woodward around 5 a.m. on August 25 and called for medical assistance.
